This collection is inspired by self-care - a Sunday morning reset in a busy working life in the city – a walk that allows a moment to find joy in the little things at a local market, while feeling confidant and comfortable.
I have taken inspiration from my solo dates to Portobello Road, an area significant to my father who passed away when I was in my teens. I have completed a primary research survey to collect data and quotes about specific details in garments that women find comfortable. I have researched and analysed different aesthetics, shapes and weave structures to create stretch and comfort to create a spring transitional collection consisting of elevated basics for the everyday.
My aim is to make garments that you wouldn’t want to change out of as soon as you get home, and aims to normalise and embrace ever-present topics for women such as bloating and weight fluctuation.
